Woman, Man Nabbed For Attempted Murder After Long Island Incident Involving Teen
Nassau County Police officers were dispatched to reports of a stabbing on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square at approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found a 17-year-old man with a stab wound, who stated that he was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by several strangers who began banging on his door, demanding that he open it and get out.
According to police, when he got out, he was slashed across the face and stabbed in the back. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.
The investigation led police to North Valley Stream resident Rachel Bellizaire, 18, and Brooklyn resident Kindly Fleurentine, 23, who were both arrested without incident.
Both Fleurentine and Bellizaire were charged with second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. Bellizaire was arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and Fleurentine was arraigned on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at First District Court in Hempstead.
