Whats behind the Temp Maxie recast? - General Hospital

Does anyone how long she is set to Play the part? Because i feel like they could have hired an actress closer to KS’ type if It was a fill in.

I don’t know the reason. I actually wondered myself. I hope everything is okay with KS. But KS was shown in the preview for tomorrow’s episode so I think it was just today.

I dont feel they needed to recast then considering the Little impact Maxie had on those scenes.
An under five could have habdled the material i just feel IT was a bit insensitive to Hire a fill in with a différent body type.

I actually didn’t mind her. But I would agree Maxie could have just been running late like the other half of the people in the meeting. It wouldn’t have made much difference if it was only for one day.

I get what you mean. I turned on the show halfway through, and I was very confused. I thought, “Is she supposed to be old Maxie?” It was kind of rude to cast someone who looks like back-in-the day Maxie before the health problems and weight gain. KS is a beautiful woman and looks great even with the weight gain. It left me thinking maybe casting doesn’t think so.

Thats why i thought maybe she was for a longer run. Like the show wanted to go back to the basics of Maxie

But a one Day fill-in? I couldnt blame KS for feeling a Little nervous That this is what the show wants her to look like. Maybe im reading way too Much into It i hope KS is fine

Maybe KS is considering a long hiatus leave or expressed interest in leaving the show ? and GH is screen testing new maxies?

The actress who filled in for Kristen Storms today probably read the lines the best is why she was picked, she’s Blonde, Blue eyes, I don’t think they were concerned if she was thinner than Kirsten. I hope Kristen Storms is okay, maybe on that particular day of filming she wasn’t feeling well or had an appointment or something.

Why would her body type be an issue? If it has something to do with the storyline, then yes, they should have had an actress with the same body type.

Kirsten is a gem & heaven forbid if she ever wanted to retire because I see her as pretty irreplaceable. Only an exceptional, top notch actress could be a watchable recast* & I didn’t see any of that yesterday…that doesn’t mean the actress isn’t good but it was basically a scene Maxie didn’t need to be in & certainly not memorable.

*Kate Mansi as a Krissy recast, for example. I didn’t think I could accept anyone but Lexi. I just hope it’s never an issue because I want to keep seeing Kirsten.

The only other actress that was perfect as Maxie and even spoke like her and emulated all her movements was Jen Lilley. This was years ago. She does Hallmark movies and things now so I doubt she’s available but if there had to be a replacement she would be perfect.

I dont have anything bad to Say about the fill-in i just have no clue why the show even bothered. An under five could have handled the material (like Maxie’s Day player assistant).

I agree. I understand That KS has basically made Maxie her own because of how long she has been in the role but i absolutly loved JL in the role.

A fill-in recast should absolutly looks as close to the performer they replace and That was m’y point.

An actor with less than five Lines. As per union rules, theyre paid less than actors with more Lines but slightly more than an extra with no Lines.
