Is Heather Tom Still on Bold & Beautiful? Actress' Status Update

These days, we see far too little of Heather Tom on The Bold and the Beautiful. In fact, her last appearance as Katie was in early April, when Bill’s ex and the rest of the Logan sisters took a hard pass on Deacon’s invitation to Sheila’s memorial service.

But not only is Tom still on the show, however sporadically, as a performer, she’s also a part of it behind the scenes. On May 15, she took to Instagram to reveal that she not only had another episode coming up but she had also called the shots on it.

“Pulling double duty,” she captioned a series of pics that found her working with Sean Kanan (Deacon), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and Kimberlin Brown (Sheila). “Acting and directing on the same day! What else you got?”

We have a hunch that Tom pulled off the feat with aplomb. A four-time Emmy winner for her work as Katie, she has been a daytime mainstay since she made her soap debut in 1990 as Victoria on The Young and the Restless.

Now if only the soap would return Katie to the frontburner. One story currently gaining momentum might just do that, as it could inadvertently send a familiar wrecking ball swinging toward her relationship with Carter and put her at odds with someone who is near and dear to her.
