Steelers trade WR Diontae Johnson to Panthers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded wide-receiver Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.

NFL Insider Adam Schefter announced the trade Tuesday night.

The Steelers will receive defensive-back Donte Jackson in return, and the two teams will swap 2024 draft picks.

Johnson was drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

In five seasons for the Steelers, Johnson played in 77 career games and 391 total passes, for over 4,300 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Johnson's best season came in 2021 when he caught 101 passes, for over 1,100 yards and 8 touchdowns. He was also named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro teams that season.

As for Jackson, he was drafted by Carolina in 2018 and played in 80 career games, over six seasons.

He has over 300 career total tackles and 14 career interceptions.
