Steelers RB Jaylen Warren to make appearance at upcoming Tomahawks game
Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — The Johnstown Tomahawks announced Tuesday that Pittsburgh Steelers running-back Jaylen Warren will be making a special guest appearance at an upcoming game.
“We’ve never had a Steeler on the active roster come for an appearance, so it’ll be a special night” said Derek Partsch, Tomahawks Director of Business Operations. “Any time you get a player like Jaylen, it’s always going to be fun. He’s a young, energetic guy and that excitement will carry over into our game” Partsch added, “Jaylen has a bright future in Pittsburgh. We had the opportunity to get him, and we had to jump at it.”
Warren is scheduled to make an appearance during the Tomahawks game on Wednesday, March 20, and will take part in a ceremonial puck drop.
Team officials say a private meet-and-greet will also be held during the first period of the game.
“After puck drop, Jaylen will be doing a free meet and greet for fans behind section 9. He’s scheduled to be here ‘til the start of the second period," Partsch added.
Tickets will also be sold for a private, 90-minute VIP event which will be held prior to the game.
