Sharon Case (Actor)
Sharon Case was born in 1971 in Detroit, Michigan, but her family ended up relocating to Los Angeles, California. As a youngster, she enrolled in ballet and jazz classes and at the age of 17, while in a supermarket one day, someone took notice and offered her a modeling job in Japan. She spent five months overseas as a model before returning to California, where she began taking acting lessons.
Case landed her first daytime role in 1983 on As the World Turns, where she appeared on and off as Debbie Simon for 10 years. In 1989, she took on the part of Dawn Winthrop on General Hospital for almost a year before finding a long-term home in 1994 as Sharon Collins on The Young and the Restless — and became half of one of soaps’ biggest supercouples, “Shick” (Sharon and Nick).
Aside from daytime, Case had roles on numerous primetime hits such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Silk Stalking, Cheers, Poor Paul and appeared in over 60 episodes as Anne Welles in Valley of the Dolls.
In 2010, the actress created a jewelry line called Pomp with fashion stylist and Young & Restless costume designer Elif Inanc, and prior to that became the first soap actress to appear on the cover of FHM magazine in 2001.
