Secret Service Agent Who Drove Michelle Obama Accused Of Harassing Woman For Sex: Report
Douglas Vines, 53, pleaded not guilty to the charges in an Edgartown court last week.
According to the CNN report, Vines and the woman were in a two-month relationship when she declined to have sex with him one night. This sent the federal agent "off the handle," she told the Oak Bluffs Police Department, per CNN, and it kicked off a campaign of threats and harassment.
Vines allegedly said he could track her through her cell phone and see all of its contents, including her texts and photos, CNN reported. He also said he'd secretly recorded her while she discussed her immigration status and threatened to have her deported, per the report.
Vines also threatened to release nude photos he had taken of her and others he had shot without her consent, she told police.
A judge issued a protective order for the woman against Vines, CNN reported. And the Secret Service placed him on administrative leave, which means he will be removed from the Obamas' protective detail pending the outcome of the trial, the news station said.
