Robert A. Martin, 79, Of Saddle River

SADDLE RIVER, N.J. — Robert A. Martin, 79, of Saddle River, died Sunday, Oct. 16.

Born in Brooklyn in 1937, he was raised in Sea Gate and was a resident of Paramus before moving to Saddle River.

Before retiring in 2005, he was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley in New York. He was a lifetime benefactor of the Valley Hospital Foundation, an avid New York Giants fan and supported local philanthropic organizations.

He was predeceased by his son, Lester Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Martin; son, Alan H. Martin; daughter, Robin L. Hulsizer; granddaughter, Mackenzie; grandson, Zachary; and sister, Alana Frumkes.

The receiving of friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the family residence.
