Dominos in Somerset hosts fundraiser to support families of I-83 crash victims
Domino’s on Main Street in Somerset is holding a fundraiser in support of the families of the victims who died in the crash on I-83 last month.
It’s been over a month since the crash on I-83 in York County claimed the lives of three Somerset County men. When Domino’s general manager Melissa Ansell heard about the crash, she says she immediately got to work. Ansell says she connected with an official from the victims’ workplace to organize a fundraiser for their families.
“It was such a tragedy that I wanted to reach out and see if we could do anything for the three families. [The CriLon Corp. official] was eager and got me all the information that I needed. Then we sent around the fliers, and we wanted to send them to businesses to help these families as much as we could,” says Ansell.
Ansell says the fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday May 22nd. She says that a percentage of all sales from the day will be donated to the families of the three victims.
Ansell says, “since these kids were from around the area, we’d like everyone to come out and support this and give back as much as we can.”
She says they’re expecting a large crowd, so if you’re planning to visit the fundraiser, be sure to call the business ahead of time.
