Bold & Beautiful's Darin Brooks Confirms He's Out and Wyatt's Leaving
This isn’t farewell, any more than any soap exit is, but Darin Brooks has just confirmed that after a decade playing Wyatt, the time has come to say “bye for now” to The Bold and the Beautiful. The exit isn’t a huge surprise as Wyatt’s only been making appearances here and there on the CBS sudser, but it’s still something of a shock knowing that we’re saying goodbye to Quinn and Bill’s son.

As Brooks pointed out on his Instagram, a number of fans have noticed “that I am no longer in the credits on Bold & Beautiful, and after 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say ‘Until we meet again…’ to Wyatt Spencer.”
He went on to thank, “the big man, [executive producer] Brad Bell, for having me, you seriously changed my life man! Love and appreciate you, always! The experiences, the trips, the memories, the friendships… All will forever hold a special place in my heart!”
Brooks made sure to let Diamont and Scott Clifton (Liam) know that they’re “like family to me in real life so I’ll see ya soon (off set),” before expressing his love to all the cast and crew.
“And to the many, many fans around the world watching this show… Thank you!! For always watching and enjoying what I love to do!! You all touched my heart just by tuning in everyday and being apart of our Bold and Beautiful family!”

Viewer jumped in to share their shock and offer support, love and encouragement, but it looks like even Brooks’ own co-stars were caught by surprise.
His TV dad, Don Diamont jumped into the comments, exclaiming, “Whaaattt!!!! I had no idea!” He then went on to sing praises for his on-screen son, adding, “You’re not just another actor. You interpret material with originality! The interaction of the Spencer men is not to be taken for granted. That material is lifted off the page, and turned into what the audience sees with your individual, and exceptional interpretation both dramatically and comedically, and with what the three of us create interacting as a team. You know I love you as an actor, and a person! I am broken hearted!”
But hey, maybe now, at least Wyatt can go off and be happy with Flo. That’s been a tough relationship for both Wyatt and the audience and seemed to feel like the beginning of the end for the legacy character.

“I think it was hard for the audience to invest in this romance,” Brooks shared with Soaps.com a short time back, “because they’d fallen in love years ago, before we met them. Plus, Flo was involved in the baby switch. With all of that, I don’t know that Katrina Bowden or Flo ever really had a chance. And that’s who Wyatt was engaged to, so it was tough all around.”
“We did what we could to try and shift the audience’s feelings,” he concluded, “but that’s tough.”
Whatever is “around the bend,” we’re sure Brooks is going to do amazing things. And who knows what the future holds for Wyatt. After all, he is still Bill’s son. That’s huge. And that’s why we agree that this “Doesn’t mean its the end.”
