Bedford celebrates 58th Fall Foliage Festival

Bedford celebrated the first weekend in October with their 58th Fall Foliage Festival which was included in Oprah Winfrey's top 20 fall festivals across America.

This large event featured over 400 craft vendors and 2 stages of live music.

Organizers say that they see over 70 thousand people attend over the two weekends throughout which the event runs.

"We bring buses in from all over the surrounding states in Pennsylvania," said Kevin Hampson, vice president of the Bedford Fall Foliage Festival. "We have people from Baltimore, Allentown, Reading, Pittsburgh, a lot of areas from where buses come in. They see the architecture and the beauty of Bedford, and when they see that hopefully they come back in the summer sometime or some other time in the year to enjoy Bedford. “

The event runs the first weekend of October as well as October 8th and 9th.

All proceeds of the event go towards community programs.
