Woman killed in Quemahoning Twp crash

State police say 61-year-old Denise Shaulis has died after her vehicle collided with a dump truck along Route 30 in Somerset County Wednesday.

The crash happened near the intersection of Haines School Road after Shaulis' vehicle crossed over into the other lane, police say.

Another driver involved in the crash told police Shaulis was having trouble maintaining her lane before crossing into the path of the truck.

Police say the truck driver tried, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Shaulis was flown to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where she died several hours later, police say.

The road has since been reopened.

At least one person was injured in a Somerset County crash Wednesday along Route 30, officials say.

According to the Boswell Fire Department, the crash happened around 9:30 a.m. and Route 30 is closed from Route 219 to Horner Church Road in Quemahoning Township.

At least one person was airlifted, officials say.
