Annual Bluegrass festival returns to Centre Co.
CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — The Remington Ryde Bluegrass Festival kicked off Thursday afternoon at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall.
A bevy of national Bluegrass performers are scheduled, including national acts that have performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Bluegrass fans from all across the eastern United States come to Centre Hall for this annual event, which was cancelled last year because of gathering restrictions.
"It's been a rough year. No live music hardly anywhere. So, to be able to open these gates up and to get these people back, they're super excited. They're ready to go. The energy level here, it's just been great. To have businesses be booming and to have the festival back, it's a wonderful feeling."
The festival runs rain or shine, with no refunds, through Sunday.
