American Idol Noah Thompson comes from a broken family. His parents, Chris and Amy have long separated but fortunately, both went to find love again.

His father, Chris married Amy Thompson in July 2008, while his mother Elizabeth married Scott Ambrose before 2000.

After the divorce, Noah lived with his dad and stepmom Amy Thompson.

Amy is a Blaine, Kentucky native who attended Prestonsburg Community College. Also, she was into country music and hunting!

American Idol Noah Thompson’s dad Chris Thompson is the son of Karen Preston Thompson.

His mother, Karen is a Columbus, Ohio native who attended Marion-Franklin High School. But as of 2022, she resided in Louisa, Kentucky, and led a single life.

Also, Chris has a brother named Joey.

Chris Thompson was 49 years of age in 1972.

He celebrates his birthday on November 28 and is of the Sagittarius zodiac.

Chris Thompson is a musician who played in 

“That’s what I grew up listening to. I’m more country, but I’m still trying to figure myself out,” Noah shared. Seems like Chris had a lot of influence on his son.

To the date of writing this article, Chris was still making music and could be found in his room, playing the key or a guitar, and composing. One of his songs, “Lousy Town,” was loved by many.

As for his education, Chris grafted from Lawrence County High School in 1992 and went on to join Morehead State University in June 1998.

American Idol Noah Thompson’s mom was named Elizabeth Miller.

According to the singer, his mother was a “rare, rare find.” She embodied different things to different people — mother and child, strength and weakness, humor and hurt, piety and villainess— but she was always beautiful and unfiltered.

Elizabeth Miller had a heart attack in May 2018, which led her to suffer from extensive brain damage. So, after a week of successive complications, her family made the difficult decision to take her off of life support.

She passed away at 1 am (EST), on 6th May 2018.

Elizabeth Miller was born on October 7, 1967. So, that made her 51 years of age when she took her last breath.

Elizabeth was a brilliant mother. Sadly, we do not know what she did for a living.

Yes, American Idol Noah Thompson has three siblings named Gibson Thompson, Alexandria Kyle Ambrose, and Britany Miller.

All three siblings of Noah are his half-siblings. His brother Gibson Thompson was born from his father’s marriage with his step-mother Amy.

His half-sisters Britany and Alexandria were born from Elizabeth’s marriage to Scott Ambrose (Noah’s stepfather). Scott was a musician who was passionate about guitar. He loved the odd times’ signatures and unreal technical ability of progressive rock in the vein of Rush and Yes.

Furthermore, he was a master of classical guitar and could pick out a Fernando Sor piece or translate something from Back onto the fretboard just as easily and beautifully as running down an Alex Lifeson riff.

Scott had died of a blood clot in his lung just after turning 32 years old.

He was the brother of Paul Ambrose. Paul (a physician) was on the plane that hit the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. He never made it home.

Talking more about his siblings, Alexandria is a St. Joseph Central Catholic graduate who lived in Huntington, West Virginia with her son. Likewise, Brittany was happily married with 2 kids.

Brittany turned 38 in Jan 2022.
